RESEARCH & ANALYSIS

Research and data are at the core of Sound Diplomacy’s work. Over the years, we have adapted different methodologies to the music and creative sectors. Our research work spans from quantitative insights such as mapping and asset databases,  social and economic impact assessments, audience data, and surveys, to qualitative methods such as interviews and roundtables, literature reviews, policy and regulatory assessments, and benchmarking.

Through our research, we have provided many different insights –such as market and competitor analyses, needs assessments, audience profiling, digital and tech sector analyses, community development and social dynamic definitions, among others, to varied range of clients including governments, businesses, non profit and philanthropic organisations, venues, and real estate and tourism agencies.

The goal of our research is to help different institutions understand their music and  creative ecosystems and endeavours so they are better equipped with the right data to navigate some of their main challenges, make informed decisions and sustainable investment, always considering their specific goals and values.

The Sound Diplomacy database consists of more than 1,600 case studies, reports, articles and benchmarks. It is one of the largest music and creative industries-specific policy databases in the world.
