North Carolina gets a music office!

“Music drives our tourism to our state, enhances education and improves the quality of life.”

Governor Roy Cooper has announced the establishment of the North Carolina Music Office within the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources!

This new office will promote and celebrate North Carolina’s music, whilst expanding on its music-based programming, resources, and research, across the state. Attracting industry investments, it joins a select group of states with official music offices, like Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

At Sound Diplomacy, we are incredibly proud to have played a role in the development of the music strategy that led to this exciting initiative. By contributing our expertise and helping to raise awareness of North Carolina’s vibrant musical culture, we are helping to ensure that this office will attract significant industry investments and foster economic growth through music.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the North Carolina Music Office and supporting the ongoing development of the state’s creative economy.
