The Riyadh Music Cities Convention kicks-off in style

The Riyadh Music Cities Convention is officially underway, setting the stage for a landmark moment in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. With a stunning venue, inspiring panels already in motion, and the unforgettable Music Cities Awards ceremony last night, the event has launched with exceptional energy and vision.

We’re proud to share that several members of the Sound Diplomacy team – including Shain Shapiro, Jett Glozier, Azucena Micó, Luke Jones, and Pablo Borchi – are among the speakers at this historic first-ever MENA edition of the Music Cities Convention. From December 8–10, they’ll join music advocates from 30+ countries and 90+ cities for three days of dynamic panels, thought-provoking presentations, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, live performances, and more.

As part of Riyadh Music Week, the convention is surrounded by an extraordinary lineup of events, including XP Music Futures, Billboard Arabia, MDL Beast: Sound Storm, and others. Together, these programs highlight the transformative role of music in shaping cities and communities worldwide.

With delegates and partners converging from across the globe, the Riyadh Music Cities Convention promises to be an inspiring platform for collaboration and innovation in the music and cultural sectors. As discussions and celebrations continue, we look forward to seeing the incredible insights, connections, and opportunities emerge from this groundbreaking event.
